Center For Hair Transplantation

The Procedure

Art & Science

Successful, natural-looking hair transplantation is as much an art as it is a science, requiring a surgeon’s skill as well as an artistic eye.

You owe it to yourself to investigate a physician’s credentials before choosing your hair transplant surgeon, because technique and quality can vary greatly from one physician to the next. Look for a surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). The ABHRS grants board certification to physicians who meet the highest standards (skill, knowledge and aesthetic judgment) in the field of hair transplantation. Presently, there are fewer than 300 ABHRS board-certified physicians worldwide.

Dr. Cohen was the first physician in Ct to be certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS).
Only the most experienced and most qualified hair transplant surgeons are diplomates of the ABHRS.

Your surgeon should also be a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), an organization dedicated to maintaining high standards in this field.  Dr. Cohen has been active in this organization since its inception, lecturing at annual meetings and chairing workshops and committees. Dr. Kim and Dr. Brooks are also members of the ISHRS.

As a prospective hair transplantation candidate, it is essential that you choose a qualified physician who specializes in hair replacement surgery. Our surgical team performs hair transplant surgery every day and has completed thousands of successful procedures. Today’s microsurgical techniques demand greater skill than ever and require a highly trained staff. Most of our surgical technicians have worked with us for more than 20 years.
